Ok, as my car currently stands...
The suspension is pretty much stock, save for the Weltmeister stress bar and 22 mm rear swaybar (stock front bar). I've got 205/55-16s up front, and the 225/50-16s in the rear. Also, for when I finally get to autcross again, I'll have 225/50-15 R-compound tires all around.
Yeah... I have the track tires, but haven't made it there yet...
Anyway, I would like to lower the car. If I do the lowering springs up front (whatever they usually are... 225#? 250#? I don't remember...), lower the rear with the eccentric bolts and set the rear bar to the highest stiffness, how much of an understeer problem with I have? Honestly, I'm not as concerned about the street balance as the track.
At some point I want to do the rear shocks with the coil-over/helper springs, but am trying to decide if I can lower it now, or if I should wait until I do the whole thing.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
BB.

Well, your car should oversteer more because of the stiffer springs up front. To help make up for that, you should invest in some bigger torsion bars to compliment the sway bar or some stiffer shocks/coil overs. Good luck!

I'd be more worried about the visibility issues with the shade in the windshield than suspension.
Sheesh- How do you see?

Serge: tighening up the front should cause understeer, not oversteer. Anywho, the plan is to eventually go with coilovers or larger rear torsion bars, but that'll get expensive so it's not something that I can currently justify. However, doing the front is pretty simple. ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

BB,
If you are going to autocross the car, unless you are going to add some spring rate to the back, 200# is the most I would put in the front for a spring rate. 250# is WAY too much and will overpower your rear, it may not seem bad on the street, but at an autocross it will be understeer city.
Your best bet is to both the front AND rear at the same time and keep the car balanced.

when you lower it your steering feel is going to change dramatically in the corners due to the change in your camber curve. You may want to look into one of the geometry correction kits to fix that problem.

I went with MO30 sways front and rear on my '83 NA and kept stock springs and bars, it is very balanced on the track with the rear set to soft. I also went with Koni Sports all around. Not as good as doing springs and bars but a big improvement over stock.
