I really couldnt remember- looks as though there is no clear winner of THE CONTEST....

Susan died from licking the cheap envelopes that George bought for their wedding invitations. The cheap glue was poison. As for the answer for my question, I always called George the winner. If you remember in a later episode where he becomes a hand model, his boss is telling him about the last hand model they had who was so inl ove with his own hand they he shunned all women. Eventually his hand turned into a claw and he had to quit modeling. After the story George says not to worry, "I once won a contest".
