One word Rediculous...sums it up....

For a few 87 951 parts.......Prices are as follows......

Spindle-$350each =700
Hub-$200each =400
A-Arm-$200each =400
Total $1500

You gotta be smoking crack.........Customer service wasnt anything to be cheery about either.

BTW-I called a local junkyard and looked at other sources and most offered the hub and spidle for 150 each.

Im a rennlist and PCA member its amazing people get away twith this, someone should speak to this guy.

Last time I got a quote from him, he stated he wanted 70% of dealer list price for the used/salvage parts. If you call most dealers that advertise in Excellence and Pano, they offer 25-30% off list price.

I dont know, I asked why and even offered to meet him at a gas station no more then a 5 minute drive for either of us and he still said he only ships. I was too frustrated at that point to even ask why.

Nothing that I can see, since I have dealt with George B. for many years and picked up parts at his house.

Since he does business out of his home perhaps he does not want strangers coming there.

Marc- Now that I think about it, I did call awhile back (more then a year ago) - think it could have been because I sounded VERY young? I was 15 at the time...maybe he thought I was trying to scope it out to steal parts?

Why do you want 87 spindles and A-arms? Why not 86 so that it is the same offset as what you have? Are you changing the rear components to late offset as well?

I agree the spindles and hubs sound a bit high, but the a-arms are about the price I would expect from a dismantler.

I cant answer that, I've always gotten fair prices from him.
Granted, it's been a while since I have bought anything.

When I bought my first Porsche, an 86 NA 844 about 8 or 9 years ago George was one of the really helpful people on the email lists.
Saved me a bunch of money and I could not complain about the service.

That's strange that he would not let you pick up the part. When I was living in Fishkill I called him once to see where he was at and he not only gave me directions to his place but told me I could stop by anytime.

Damn, a guy e-mail me last night about both hubs and spindles off of the 88 I'm parting out, as usual, now I find out I should offered them for half of what Ecology is asking!!!!!
