Tire rotation question

My car came to me with new Dunlop SP8000s on the front and well used S02s on the rear. Interestingly, all are 225/50/16s, even though I have the stock 7" and 8" phone dials. I am not pleased about running two different types of tire, nor about running an odd sizing arrangement (e.g., something other than the typical 205/225 or 225/245 front/rear). Be this as it may, I am having the tires and stems removed for my phone dial refinishing effort (still not done due to the humidity
). I have a few questions on remounting them:
1. I could move the SP8000s to the rear, in which case all four tires will probably wear out at the same time, or I could leave the SP8000s up front and replace the rears with new SP8000s when the S02s on the rear wear out in 3-5k miles (the end of the year). Which would you do? Will SP8000s be available in 6 months or have they been largely replaced by the SP9000s?
2. The S02s are wearing more on the outside than the inside. Regardless of whether I move them to the front or keep them on the back, should I switch them from right to left? Shouldn't they be wearing more on the inside rather than the outside? The car is perfectly aligned (was done right before I bought the car and it tracks perfectly straight).
