Take a picture of the damage, it can probably be repaired without replacement.

I agree, the wheel may be repairable. Find a local wheel shop and they should be able to straighten the wheel for fair money.

I don't think it can be repaired. I wouldn't trust it anyway, if it could.

The gravel on the wheel was from where I pulled over. I was actually on a unfamiliar country road, which was wide and sweeping. However, it suddenly went narrow, after going round a left hand bend, and a Land Rover Disco was coming the other way. so I pulled over to the left a little more and caught something. I went back to look after, but there wasn't anything obvious, so I'm not really sure what it was. It was just a straight stone wall and some grass.

Got my picutres muddled, but it's the damage to the paint that's more worrying.

Check out ebay. There are single wheels for sale from time-to-time. Also, a local junkyard may be of some assistance.

There's a Porsche scrapyard http://www.porsch-apart.co.uk about 15 miles from where I live, so I planned on heading down there tomorrow to see about a wheel.

Anyone any ideas on getting the paint fixed? You can't really spray a little bit can you? You'll need to spray the whole panel!

The wheel CAN be fixed, I've seen an 18" wheel AS bad put back into round (and vibration-free). It cost my bud something like $75USD to get it done.

There was an article in last month's '911 & Porsche World' (a UK publication, I think) about a chip/ding repair company. Saw the photo sequence of them working their magic. Looked good. I'll try to find their name for ya...
