I just replaced the shocks, springs, lowered on the eccentrics + 4wheel alignment at my Porsche mech. 8 hours total and he didn't get the specs I wanted. He had trouble getting the right camber. Why would that be a problem?

What are recommended specs?

Hey guys;

944s and pre 964 911s use the same setup in the rear, and can be a complete b-i-tch to align properly. The rear adjustments are incredibly fiddly and can be maddening to try and balance. Many factors come into play, like tight space, wide tires, rust/dirt, frame/suspension damage or wear, etc. I NEVER look forward to them. I'm doing one this morning. Wish me luck!!

The book time is 3 hours, multiplied by the prevailing labor rate of course. I've taken literally twice that long, through no fault of my own!

Some guys are willing to risk the trouble it takes, and charge a flat fee. Some guys are not. If you watch the thing being done, you usually will feel it is money well spent no matter what. It's a PAIN!

I was quoted $120 by a place that specializes in Porsches. I know someone who had a 944 aligned there and they did a fabulous job with it.
I should have it done in the next week or so.
I recently replaced the struts, balljoints, caster blocks, and lowered the rear ride height. The aligment is way out of whack at the moment. With the huge tires this car is pretty freaky to drive so I can't wait until it's done.
