Default A/F gauge (clock style) hookup

I mounted the gauge and got power but I do not know how to hook it up to the o2 sensor wire coming into the DME.. It says pin 24 big green wire. On my car there isnt a pin 24 and there are 2 big green wires in the DME harness thingy.

Anyone know?

On the S2, it's pin#28. It's a shielded coax cable, so do not use vampire taps, you'll short out the O2-sensor. There's a procedure on my 951 RacerX website on how to tap into that line once it's separated from its outer shielding braid inside the DME connector itself. No need to be as tricky as me with the soldering to the connector pin. You can just scrape away some insulation from the inner-wire, wrap your gauge's signal wire around it and solder. Wrap up with tape, re-assemble connector housing and that's it.

There should be pin numbers molded in the plastic on the connector or on the socket where the plug plugs into the DME. It looks like the green wire in the pic but I am not familiar with the S DME off hand.
Since the shielding on the O2 signal wire is grounded on both ends (DME and O2) what most people do is strip away a section of shielding from the outside of the wire. When you do this lt leaves the inside wire and insulation exposed so you can safely use the vampire connector. Just make sure that the outside shielding does not come in contact with the signal wire.
If you have access to a soldering iron Dannos procedure of soldering directly to the pin in the connector might be a cleaner way to connect the gauge.

Got from the wiring-diagram in the manual. When you open up the connector, you should see that pin-28 is connected to the center conductor of the big green shielded cable.
