I went to the fabric store and spent $1.85 on some vinyl and redid the armrest-cassette holder thing. I have enough vinyl left over to do two or three more, and thats probably how long it will take to make it perfect. It's not very difficult if you're patient.

I was able to get my corners very smooth by using a heat gun (low setting like a hair dryer) to heat the material and stretch it.

I had indentations in the foam and used auto body filler to smooth the surface. Then used 2-sided tape for the top and over the lip. I then laid the vinyl on the top, stretch the corners as I heated, folded over the edge and used cloths pins to hold.

Patience is the key.

GREAT idea with the armrest! I was dreading having to pay like $80 for a whole new top section w/ new vinyl...
