Well two years with my 87 five speed, it has the seats with the Porsche cloth centers, the drivers seat was really in bad shape and had the sheep skin cover that was also worn out. I had an old Recaro that I have been using the last year. It is a racing high bolster model, hard to get in and out of but your not going to move when your in it! So yet another “what is out there”to use for a recover? I will do both seats, I wish I could get the Porsche cloth centers, it is a shame the company doesn’t offer them for us to use.
So any recommendations?

In for ideas... I'm looking at getting my sport seats recovered some day, thinking of doing something custom. Talked to a local interiors shop, they could get and install kits (premade covers) in either vinyl or leather... but not real exciting, nor custom... fabric inserts are tempting, otherwise custom stitching is a bit tempting too... I see ads on the socials for footwell covers that are fancier than anything proposed for my seats!!

I can tell you this-I re-covered the seats in my 90 cabrio with a premade kit and it was pretty easy and looked great. BUT I did it in the vinyl because at the time it was $200/seat cheaper, and I regret it every time I drive that car and it is sunny out. Next time leather.

I was also thinking leather, like the smell and feel, the big question is a center cloth or not? Also was hoping for some feed back on something ready to have a shop fit. Looking for go fit and finish.
