Battery Box Full Of Water
My battery box filled almost to the top with water the other day......came close to the cables and would have shorted if I didn't catch it in time....I assume there is a drain hole somewhere (hevent't had a chance to empty it completely yet)....I scooped most of the water out.....

The drain hole is close to the fender at the bottom the battery compartment. If you pull the battery you'll see it in the middle right side of the compartment. It's common for the drain hole to fill with debris.

There is a small round rubber flap you can see fom the engine bay- Open it and poke a small stick into it to allow the water to drain. After the water is gone you can thoroughly clean the gunk out from inside the battery box.

Early 944's do not have the side drains. As Chris has stated; clean out the drain in the fire wall and quit parking under trees that shed.
If you let the drivers side flood you will ruin the wiper motor.
