I can't beleive it doesn't smoke anymore
Well, I took the advice of you guys and cleaned the intake and AFM. Guess what, it doesn't smoke anymore. I just can't believe it, it smoked so bad and burned oil like crazy. Now I can actually take it to redline with no noticable smoke. I still smell the exhaust from the cracked header but that's a whole different thing, I got my new manifolds just need to get a bolt removed and put them on.
Like in my other post I do have some hesitation from the boring job on the AFM (one of the PO's, not me). At least that's what I think it's coming from. I cleaned up the job that they did and got a little less hesitation, found a late AFM on ebay and gonna see what happens when I replace it.
It actually feels like I have an extra 20 hp after cleaning everything up. Maybe it's because I can actaully rev above 4.5k without smoking.
Next job to tackle...Intake manifold and headers.
