Cory,

about 180 with the driver and 130 without the driver. I got it with the driver and it sounds great.

OK, what's a driver? Is it the speaker or amp or ??? Is that $180 for one or two (do you really need two)? I saw Brian Perry had 2 of them in each rear well of he car last year at the Fest and it sounded great!

I have the kappa's & had to do some dremmeling as well. You basically have to 'square off' the oval opening for them to fit. If you do it right you should be able to put your factory speakers back in without it being noticeable at all. The other option was to cut the speaker as someone else mentioned, which should work just as well...just want to be sure to cut it back far enough it doesn't vibrate against the car.

As for removing the rear window, I guess it's a car-by-car basis, but on my car there was NO WAY I was gonna get to those speakers without taking them out. My interior panel stuck through the window so far it almost stuck out pas the molding on the outside (about 1" of material). I guess if yours was cut to just barely fit under the molding it wouldn't be an issue though.

The driver is the speaker. I don't know Brian but i would think that the speakers in the rear wheel well are 6x9's and not subs. I could be wrong though. As for the number of subs I think you would only need one. I am running Infinity Reference 5 1/4 inch components on the front doors, Infinity reference plates by the rear seats under the windows and the KLA sub in the passenger rear wheel well. YOu will also need an amp to run the sub. I am using an Alpine MRP-T220 which I have mounted the the rear wheel well on the passenger side. If you would like pictures let me know. Installed it all myself. Here is the link for the KLA hidden Subwoofer. It fits in nicely and is hidden. Good luck.

The KLAs look like 8" subs, they're definitely not 6x9s.

As far as the 4x6 speakers, the ones I had before I got the kick panel speakers required me to drill different holes for the screws. The Porsche steel is really strong compared to when I had to drill holes in my sister's honda for speakers. So be prepared to do that depending on which brand speaker you get and how the holes line up.

Depending on the size of the amp, consider putting the amp under one of the seats. It is nice because you have a great grounding point at any of the seat bolts (at least it worked great in my car). I attached amps to the bottom of each seat with wire ties instead of on the floor, so the amp moves when the seat moves and also since the floor under the seat isn't flat. The amps I had are about 12x12 Precision Power and they fit very well. If you know how to remove the seat, then take it out and see if the amp fits.

Sorry Cory. Read it quick. didn't register that you said he had the KLA subs. Assumed you just meant 2 subs. YOu know what happens when you assume.... Well I did it.

Sorry again.

I'm about to buy a couple of Infinity reference speakers, if you guys don't mind me asking, how much where the 4x6 reference speakers?

Also, where can I get a hatch sub box for a 10" sub? Anyone have one for sale? Anyone know of any websites that teach you how to make them?

TIA
