Confirming a bad wiper motor - pin diagram?
My first new thread... (I didn't see a clear answer to this in archives).
(Just bought a 88 Turbo S in silver-rose. It's in rough condition, and starting to dig into it to restore it to a nice original driver's car.)
Previous owner said the motor is dead but wanted to confirm power is getting to it and motor is truly dead, before pulling the motor.
I planned to confirm there is 12v going to the motor by checking voltage at the multi-pronged connector. Looking at the connector on Pelican Parts (Fig 10):
https://www.pelicanparts.com/techart...eplacement.htm
Does anyone know which is the ground and which is 12v?
Anyone know which pins I test/ground to confirm power is going to wiper?
Thanks.

@931guru : That's a great graphic, very old school and to the point.
@Luftundwasser : If you look carefully at the plug itself, you'll see the pin designations molded in. Usually time and grime make it a little hard, but some PB Blaster on a rag to clean things off will do wonders for legibility.
Please post pictures of your car! They're all great, no matter the current condition.
Cheers

@Zirconocene Thanks! Will clean it up and look for the markings.
Just got it 3 days ago from a fellow in Michigan (who was the 2nd and 4th owner). We are now the 5th (my son and I will restore it together). Dare I say, I think I like the handling feel better than our (previous) 996 cab.
Previous owner trailered it to meet us midway. But drove well on the 200 miles back to Chicago.
First step, vac and clean decades of neglect.
Lots of fun work ahead.
