Default Radiator - Repair or Replace

This is for my jeep.
Just wondering what you guys think about having a radiator repaired. I can buy a new for 200.00 so is it worth trying to have it repaired.
The thing that sucks is this radiator is a little over a year old and it's leaking already.

Thanks for the adive.

If it's Aluminum & Plastic construction, and you plan to keep the vehicle for a while, I would suggest looking for a heavy duty copper & brass construction rad. I'm not a fan of trying to repair the Al/Pl rads. Unfortunatley, the factory 944 rad is Al/Pl. I spent about 2X the price of a factory replacement rad for a copper & brass. A little heavier but worth it IMHO.

I'd buy a new one. Can you even repair the current one? I thought most radiators today were plastic tanked.

It's a POS in my opion. (the radiator)
I bought it new in 98. This is the 3rd radiator.

I should just sell it and buy a pepper.

I wish.

If its a Cherokee, and its '96 or earlier, get it repaired. Other than that, I can't offer advice except to agree with everyone that says that aluminum/plastic repairs don't work.

It's a 98 Grand Chrokee.
Been real good to me besides the leaks.

Pulled one of the 944's from Arkansas to Fl last winter. No problems.
I plan on keeping it around for a while.

I love Cherokees, but was never taken with the Grand Cherokees, so I can't say anything about them, as I have no experience. If you want to know about a Cherokee, tho... I have owned five of them, and am looking to buy another one for my wife.

Is there something going on that is causing the radiator to overpressurize? Repeated failures on radiators are the exception, not the rule, in my experience, regardless of make.

I agree with gratian, I fixed 2 different radiators on the plastic side of my mazdas radiators with jb weld, and that fixed it for as long as I had them.

What would cause a radiator to be overpressurized.
I replaced the cap last year when I replaced the radiator.
