Interior Color Match
I bought a dash cover and need to paint it to match my 86 Maroon interior. I see several Co.'s that provide a spray product, but finding a color match seems to be difficult. It seems difficult finding a real good color off the internet using Co.'s websites and the little pictures of the color they provide.
Has anyone done this before and had any problems, and how about that Maroon color I'm looking for?

What's wrong with just leaving it black? Anything spraypainted is going to look like crap, eventually fade, blister, peel and crack. The only way to properly fix these dashes is to have them re-vinyled. Most of those dash covers look pretty cheesy too IMO.
Are you keeping this car or selling it?

I redid my interior last year. New upholstery did not match the rear seats. The shop I used ended up "spray dying" the whole thing. Seats (front and rear) door panels, armrest. They used stuff called SEM Dye. It is beautiful and durable. The new upholstery I choose has the little perf holes in it, and I was worried the spray dye would goop them up. It did not, almost a year and it has not faded, rubbed off, or worn at all.
Check with a upholstery shop for SEM Dye spray. OR Go Here
