Hiya! What's a header panel!?

Not feeling too intelligent about that, but, if you don't ask, you never know!

hey julie!

the header panel some people call it is the interior panel over your head, the one the sun visors screw into and hold in place. if yours (or anyone else's) is cracked up and want a good one... free for the price of shipping

Woah! I just checked it, one of the few pieces that DOES NOT need replacing!

Thanks for the offer, Mike, Kijo is coming along fine.

Now the screws to the sunroof are something else - all rusted!

Can I just pull those out, clean them, and repaint them or something? Or easier just to replace?

I'd just replace them. Those silly plastic assemblies always crack (I ordered a replacement one from Pelican not too long ago - think it was $5 or something like that). 944 Online has an aluminum variation that would obviously never fail that's about $20. If I ever crack another one, I'll probably do that.

The Pelican setup did NOT come with replacement screws IIRC; I tend to doubt the 944 Online one does either. Screws are reasonably cheap; I'd just replace them unless they just need cleaning. Screws & bolts are among the things I get at the dealer - that way you get the right part (exactly) and they're not going to leave you with that "I've just been violated" feeling when you walk out of there (at least not as bad as for - say - a crankshaft or glass).

Hope this helps.

a bunch of lighting pieces
2 rear bumpers, one front bumper
several airboxes
a set of bumper pads
some bumper moldings (a few bolts missing, screws work though)
three fenders, two passengers side, one drivers, all from early cars
two sunroofs, both manual *i have found a set of the rear clips, but only the part that attatches to the sunroof. manning says you dont need em*

3 window regulators - two passengers side and one drivers
an early a/c compressor
a bunch of bumper shocks
a metric butt-load of rear quarter glasses
several glove boxes for early cars 2 brown, 2 black
a couple bell housings
an automatic coupling plate that couples the torque converter to the torque tube

and more junk somewhere.

just speak up if you need something. its all leaving one way or another, might as well pick it up cheap if you need it!

What you are doing is great. I paid 100.00 for a used bell housing not too long ago. Did you say you have an N/A front fender? Will it fit a drivers side 1987?

I need a drivers side window regulator. What year car are the ones your giving way from? If they'll work in my 86 tubo I'll take a drivers side window regulator. And while your at it if no one else wants it I'll take a passenger side one too.

Mike,
Are any of those manual sunroofs in black with a black liner? How about a rubber shift boot? I wouldn't mind a pair of sacrificial front bumper shocks for a snub-nose conversion. Any early manual or elec antennas?

What about a black driver's side compartment, that goes under the arm rest? Never had that, lol.

Hmmm...thinking, thinking!

hey everyone, that's all stuff i'm trying to sell. it's seperate of this week's (three) free parts.

i'd be happy with $75 for a fender. it will fit on your car, but you'll need to fix the bottom and fill the hole for the antenna.

johne - if they are universal, which i'm fairly sure they are, i'd let em go for like $5 a piece. all the parts i have are from early 944's, 83 and 84.

Steve - i have a pair of pre-compressed shocks i can send you for the cost of shipping - my dad's going to be using my car, so i'm going to put good ones back on. i can always re-snub if i feel like it. the bottom line is i need to find him a 944 daily! the sunroofs i have are a 924 sunroof in orange with a brown liner, and red with a black liner. i have the black liner seperated from the roof, so if you're interested, i can sell you that for like $15 and shipping. other people wanted the liner but nobody ever confirmed that i should send it to them.

No spare rebuilt 968 motors although i do have a 2.5L block... maybe i should rebuild it

julie - i don't think i have any more black compartments, but i may have a tan one you can dye. i gotta dig all the old carpet out of the porch, and i'll let you know.

Thank you for being so thoughtful to everyone.

Um, what about the shock inserts? My right one is pretty bad, lol. I feel for the passengers.
