There were a few posts claiming Vertex's mounts suck, and wont last. You get what you pay for with these mounts. Supposedly, only the reputable Porsche parts dealers (Paragon, etc) sell THE original Porsche mounts. Everything else is OEM, but not original Porsche (or something like that).

I think andy is right. do a search on vertex and motor mounts.

i would go with paragon or sunset in oregon for allthe stuff you are getting. probably cost the same $$ as vertex, but you know you are getting the good stuff from paragon, and sunset is a porsche dealer.

gotta be a pca member to get sunsets cost + 15% pricing.

If my memory serves me correctly, the mounts pictured in the ebay ad are not OE. The aftermarket mounts have the hole on the side whereas the factory mounts have a slot in lieu of the hole. Although they could be OEM (original equipment manufacturer) they are not necessarily OE (original equipment). There was a thread a while ago about the vertex mounts and someone had posted a picture of the OE mounts next to the aftermarket mounts. See if you can find the thread and if the picture is still on the server.

Actually, Sunset sells the parts at cost +15% to anyone, not just PCA members.

I think there's a difference between OEM and actual Porsche parts.

$49 is way too cheap for factory parts.

NEITHER ARE OE! THEY ARE OEM! BIG DIFFERENCE! Search for my various threads on Vertex mounts. I even posted a plethora of pictures comparing the various types.

DO NOT BUY VERTEX!

Cheers,
Sach

What needs to be taken apart to do these babies? I've got a set of the primo paragon pieces and ponder the procedure.

This sounds like a good 944 Fest project.
