I wouldn't recommend the aftermarket mounts.

Mine collapsed after less than 5k miles and should be replaced in the near future. I guess you get what you pay for in some instances.

I was gonna buy those, but figured they were OEM, but not Porsche parts. If they came in a Porsche bag...they must be the real deal though. Good Score!

I agree 1000%. I bought the cheap ones once and they lasted about 5000 miles also.

I think ill be doing mine soon then.

How do motor mounts make it hard to get into first? My car is a bitch to get into first when moving when its not warmed up...

I didn't mean going into first while moving. I meant the shifter is smoother now because the engine isnt vibrating all over the place. Clutch take-up is also smoother.

AndyK - Couldn't agree ore. After the literally THOUSANDS opf sollars I've poured into my car. THe single best fix I did was the mounts. My car ran like a champ after that.

Aside from the 'supermounts' and such, anybody every try urethane? Anybody make urethane? Anybody try filling the old rubber ones under 0 load with urethane? It's a little mickey mouse but I've heard OK things about it from some other, cheaper car people...

I replaced with factory mounts. Everyone I spoke to said skip aftermarket ones, they fail quickly. So far? Over 40,000 miles since I changed them and they are fine. Car runs smooth. God, what a difference when I think of it.

I think any stock motor mount that can last 100k IS a super mount! Why get anything else but stock? The updated 951 parts are the best, better than the original fluid filled units on the older 944's...no need for better, IMHO!

Yes, I got mine done about 4 weeks ago, WOW, anybody who hasn't gotten them done, GET THEM!!! You go from a car that is shaking and starts up rough, just feels like a normal car, not a nice one. I know that when I went to go start the car for the first time, I first thought to myself that the car was NOT even on! It was SO smooth. Both of mine were toast!

I agree...when I start the car up after owning it for almost a year, I think the engine isn't fully on or something! With no vibration, the car just SOUNDS like a Porsche, instead of feeling like a dragster!

I bought those same ones on Ebay from those guys and they were NOT the OEM porsche ones. But they had a good return policy so I sent them back... You sure they said PORSCHE on them?
