Question Any NA brake upgraders wanting to get rid of old calipers?

I think the calipers on my 83 with 212K miles are beginning to drag and need rebuilding. I'm debating whether to buy kits to do them or replace the calipers with used NA units in good working condition.

Please post if you have any you'd like to sell/get rid of.

TIA

P.S. Symptoms are a "crushing" sound when coming to a stop, either in gear or in neutral. Also, a "rubbing/grinding" sound when coasting in neutral at highway speed. CV joints and wheel bearings are new. Any suggestions appreciated.

I have a set of rear calipers from mine- early offset. are operational as is.

Work well, I was going to dissasemble and powdercoat/ rebuild them. If you get them now they are real cheap Luis..

luis, i'm sorry i don't have any of those at the moment. you might want to try ians, although they are probably expensive.

chris, have you been getting my pm's? i haven't received a check yet, and/or confirmation as to whether you still need the rest of the things you asked about.

I'm expecting my turbo brake parts in a week or so, and I'll have a set of NA calipers at each corner, 4 drilled rotors and a set of pagid black pads with some life left on them. Let me know if you're interested...just drop a PM.

I would suggest either attempt to rebuild the ones you have, or rebuild the ones you are to buy. I say so after seeing the amount of sludge and some corrosion in mine. It took me a lot of time to rocondition them, but now I feel confident about them. ~20 year old calipers could be in poor shape, and you have to open them in order to examine it (and short of cleaning, etc. this is almost rebuilding...).
