In some states it's law- the police must have a report on file in order for an insurance company to settle a claim.

You can state that due to the age and condition of the vehicle that new parts are the only suitable fix. Squaky wheel gets the grease.

There may be other laws involved, IIRC in NJ any accident with more than $500 in damage (total for all cars involved) must be reported

I still stand by what I said. Just because you have a business doesn't mean that you have to roll over at anything that you customers do... My wife only teaches at the studio...
