Default Correct battery reading?

What should the reading on the battery guage in a 944 be? Mine's been around 13 and I've been having problems with my car not being able to start when the car sits overnight in moist conditions. I'm concerned that it should be reading higher and that I'm not getting the right charge from the alternator.

try checking the battery with a meter. not running should be around 12.5 - 13 running it should jump to at least 13.5.

I may not be exact on the numbers but you get the idea.

Factory gauges of any brand aren't super accurate, they are good for showing you when something is not the same as "normal"
