Tony,
A bass player played with us a few years back, 6 string Modulus with flight case. First time I went to pick him up to ride to the gig with me, we saw that this one WOULDN"T fit in the otherwise spacious 944. When you mentioned flight case, it reminded me.

But with a guitar being a little shorter, that may be different.

Now that the engine is in the back, is it a "real" porsche?

Just moved a 30" TV. Had to be real careful with the screen, but it fit no problem -- even managed to close the hatch.

I moved from Virginia to Ohio once, and fit everything in my car.

...and I had a passenger, too.

My record so far is 6 or 7 boxes of paper. The boxes that hold 10 reams of paper. So 60 or 70 reams in the back. Could have fit WAY more, but I would have needed a good way to hold it all down so it doesnt slide into the glass

Coming home from college i have fit a suprizingly large amount of stuff in my 944. Heck, once going home for a long weekend (like 5 days) i drove 2 girls home with me plus all of my stuff and their stuff, and we know how much **** girls usually pack. It was a tight fit but we fit for 3 and a half hrs. the car did feel a little sluggish though and seeing out the rear hatch was kind of not possible.

When I bought my 924S and drove it home 1350 miles, the following was in the back: four 928 wheels with race tires, stock steering wheel, stock header panel, 3 plastic grocery bags filled with misc. extra parts, a car cover, and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting.

theedge, that sounds really heavy. That brings me to ask how much weight can the rear suspension handle ? That's gotta be around 400lbs of paper.

No pic but I had 3 turkey dinners that feed 8 people each in the back of the turbo the other day. Lots of food...

Personally, I never leave home without a couple of midgets. Good thing the 944 can handle them.

I'd agree that when you load up, the car gets a little sluggish up the hills.

Dunno about total weight, but it definatly wasnt bottomed out or anything. IIRC the cargo capacity is like 600 pounds...

6 tires at once
15 cinder blocks plus two 50lb bags of sand and two bags of concrete
I sold a short block to Brad, we fit it in, hatch closed and he headed for GA, he also did the Dragon's Tail run with it in there IIRC

Going with the pack
is quite monotonous.
