Default Tennessee Tubs Rocks!

Tennessee Tubs hosted their annual BBQ at the Cal Turner farm (of Dollar General family). It was an outstanding event with great 356 cars attending, Mr. Turners personal collection, worth $$$$$$$, and a garage to kill for!! The BBQ, chicken, and beer was all first class and the folks were so friendly that I think I'll have to find a 356 just so I can join there club. Enjoy the pics!

If you think we're uptight, try showing up there with a chevy powered 356!

I think you'd have to use a corvair motor!

And one more. So, if anyone wishes to know why I usually hate these conversions, this bubba *** moron is a good example. check out the hood underside in pic 2/3 you can see where it was cut to add a mismatched (i.e. black on red car) Camaro hood scoop for the air cleaner.

FWIW, there is a conversion for sale in classified, do you know them Pred?

Those are some sad, sad pics. If you can't do a conversion right, then don't do it. Period! That is one POS of a conversion. Who'd be crazy enough to show up with that ??

I thought the abundance of hose clamps was very "interesting"

While you know I am not a fan your conversion is not even comparable. Words do not do justice to how much nicer yours is.

That said, I see more of these and less of the ones like yours. Maybe now we understand each other better. Yikes, huh?

OK, Matt, perhaps we have reached common ground, here. But.... this thread originated with notes and pics of the TT BBQ. I thought members might be interested in a great event hosted this weekend in Kingston Springs, TN. Whenever I chime in, why does everyone always seem to start in on the conversions? Jealously, perhaps???????????????

Pred, NP. It looks like a good time. Never was a 356 fan but every time I go to a show, I find myself wanting one.

BTW -are you close to Nashville? I go there every month as least one time.
