Default Anybody have a decent starter for sale?

Or maybe a solenoid?
The last few days when I start the car the starter keeps running for a few seconds. It also sounds a little noisier than it used to. I need to pull it and check it out. I'll try cleaning it with some BrakeKleen and see if that helps.
If not I thought I'd put out a feeler for a good used one.

I think I have one in charlotte, i'll be there to pick up the 951 in 9 days, and will check then. It was good when it came off a car, but has been sitting on the shelf for 2 years.... If you don't find anything before then let me know.....

Thanks Ian. I'm going to clean it up and see if that helps. If not I'll pm you.

I pulled the starter last night and noticed a lot of side to side play on the shaft with the gear on it. I don't think that's normal. If it is, then I don't know what the problem is.
Andy has one that I'm going to pick up on Thursday so I don't think I'll need yours Ian. Thanks for the offer anyway.

No problem pete, I still need to inventory my parts in charlotte and move them up to Raleigh, this was just a reminder to do so...

Good luck getting things sorted out.
