Default Parts needed Harrisburg/Carlisle PA

I'm actually in Mt. Holly Springs, 10 minutes from Carlisle, but will travel to get these tomorrow or this weekend.

I need a fuel damper 944-110-201-03 and a starter for my '86 944 turbo.

I need to find a damper to buy and keep because mine developed a leak, but really only need to borrow a starter.

I have a '84 944 that will be going under the knife as soon as I get the turbo running and out of the garage. With one working starter it is going to be kind of difficult pulling both cars out of the garage to switch the side they were parked on so I can drive the '86 and work on the '84.

If anyone can help me out I would appreciate.

Thank you
Tom

'86 944 turbo, so close to running, finally
'84 944, leaking oil and waiting to get some attention
'02 Jetta 1.8T, daily beater for now

The 86 turbo uses a much smaller starter than the 84 NA. You may want to check if the 84 NA starter would even fit. As far as the fuel damper goes you should order a new one. One place to get parts at good prices not too far from you is zygmunt motors at www.bimmerparts.com.

I have a damper somewhere in my garage. If I can find it you can have it. I dont use the damper and as such have no need for it.

I'm new to the forum, but I may be able to help you out. I'm a student at Dickinson College in Carlisle and I also have a 1986 951. I'm working a lot this weekend (gotta afford parts), but I'm free on Wednesday after 4 or next weekend. You're welcome to borrow my starter and I'd be happy to serve as an extra pair of hands for anything else you need.

Skippy give me a call some time 433-1585. My wife is an alumni of Dickinson and currently works there in the Career Center.

Matt thanks for the offer but I found one local and all it cost me was the gas to drive to his garage.

Thanks
Tom
