Hi all

I have recently put a 1989 2.7 complete engine, engine loom, and ECU into a 1986 2.5 car but I now have no spark or tach bounce. The crank sensors are from the original 2.5 engine and are spaced correctly. Any ideas, please?

Have you tried swapping the connectors on the speed and ref sensors?

tried that already. just cant find the fault.

Have you tried diagnostics? Clarks-garage? Study the wiring diagram and test points along the flow path.
Was the 2.7 and related wiring and DME known to be running?

Alarm integration might be different between the two, maybe also airbag or crash sensor/switch. Obviously try a DME relay jumper also.
