Yesterday I tested the impact resistance of my AIR splitter and PS fog lamp. The good news is the splitter is very strong, the bad news is the fog lamp is glass and not so strong. I hit a red fox yesterday doing 60 mph and separated the splitter from the car slightly and separated the fog lamp (glass) from the car completely.

More good news is the DS fog lamp is already cracked, so I'll need a whole set and not just one side.

I think it was rabid, darn thing was running around during broad daylight. Jumped out of a ditch alongside the road at the last second. Must have had a deathwish.

I was on a country road, actually obeying the speed limit for once (well sort of...).

And the moral of this story is...
Never go the speed limit. (PS: Use a homer voice on that)

Had you been going faster, you probably would've been past that spot before he jumped in the road.

or if you were going really faster, you might have cut right through it with the spliter, causing less impact.
