Chris and I went to the planning meeting tonight. My job on Saturday is to register those who show up for the concourse and haven't registered yet. If you choose to do this, you are more than welcome, but you won't receive the free goodies that comes with registering early.

By the way Mr. Dixon received 3 phone calls as the Carrera GT was being unloaded. He really wanted to be there instead!

See you all this weekend!

What about the Auto-X??? I missed the reg deadline, then e-mailed the guy (scca?) on the Taj link about participating, but he hasn't replied. I would be more than happy to donate $30 to Ronny, and I don't care about the goodies. I just wanna drive (I've missed too darn many chances to auto-x this season). As is the case with the concourse - IS THERE ANY SPACE AVAILABLE AT THE AUTO-X???

Pete - I will definitely NOT make the Friday dinner. If I can't Auto-X, I will show up to drool at the concourse. I'll call you regarding the sway as soon as I know what I'll be allowed to do...

Thanks,

Dale.

PS - Rock - sorry to hear you're out of school. Get a GED ASAP and you might stay above the poverty level. I've been on both sides of the interview chair, and an education (or lack there of), regardless of how much of a "joke" it may seem at the time, is the MOST LIKELY THING to RULE YOU OUT of EVEN GETTING an INTERVIEW. I'm not flaming you at all - I'm dead serious - if your parents are upset, it's only because they care.

Thanks for clarification, Patti. I know for a fact that the driving tour is closed/ful (I think it's at about 80 cars), but Dale I'm not certain about the auto-x. Fire off an email to the email address on the Taj Kruezers page (I think John gets that one) and ask.

Yeah, that's what I did - jschlegel1 - autocross chairman. Haven't heard back yet...

I guess I could call the phone number.

Thanks Tifo.

Woohoo! Man, John's fast - I'm in for Sunday's Auto-X.

So, to answer Pete's question, the only event I'll be doing will be the Auto-X. Unless, if I can get a hall pass from the wife, I'll be at the concourse too.

Great, now I know noone in my run group. This is going to make for a sore spot in the drive. Part of the fun last year was driving with my friends out there, but now who do we talk to when we stop, ask hey did you see me drift around that turn, and then arrive at the concourse by ourselves and wait for our friends to arrive.

Patti and I will be working the concours. Good thing, I'm back digging in to the engine right after I type this so the tour in my car would be out.. good thing my keyboard is already black.. really long story

Procrastinators tent for late entries will be open Saturday at Carillon, - so concours will include event day entries. Gates will open at 10:30/ 11 (?) maybe earlier.

If the attendance numbers I heard are correct , it may be difficult to get one of the stunning awards. This is going to be an amazing day.

Lets hope for a georgeous weather, I know a lot of people will be travelling quite some distance to be there..

There will be a need for volunteers if you havent already signed up. Please see one of the people in the registration tents and let them know you will volunteer. The more people that are involved the better.

I digress..

For those of you who havent yet met the host, Here's a little insight.

Mr. D was anticipating the arrival of the CGT, and he said he would wait til 4:00.pm. than go. He waited, with no arrival of said CGT- and proceeded on about his business.. arrived at the meeting last nignt at 5:30.

He arrives, in about 5 minutes he gets a call..

Here is the conversation, one way:

>Hello..

>Yeah, just leave it there.

> I Know, I'd like to do a burnout too, but I'm here.

>Leave it there.

>Yeah, bye.

Congrats.
