Question Fan switch question

If I switch the ignition on with the engine off the fan runs constantly. It seems to work normally when the engine is running.
Do I need to replace it?

EDIT- Could it be the relay?

Generally the fan switch realy in the fuse box is at fault, when continuous running issues arise.

check out clarks garage for a walkthrough of spotting the problem. It was the thermoswitch in the radiator that caused my fans to stay on even with the car off. Also, i replaced it with a low temp switch and now the fans do not switch off once it is warmed up, so i've pulled the wires and back to the a/c switch for the cooling fans.
