https://www.odometergears.com/

It walks you through exactly how to determine what gear you need based on tooth count on old gear (or the one next to it if the existing gear has disintegrated). You may also want to look at the products for other years/models of 944 to find the gear above (for some reason it looks like its a 15 tooth gear from the 968 or an M15 from a non-US cable driven gauge cluster). Very odd if yours is supposed to be a USDM 86 model

Also, please search before posting - this has been covered a million times. (google: "porsche 944 <question> forum" will yield a plethora of posts and threads)

There is no part number - the gauge cluster is a unit.

This is the one I bought, but I haven't installed it yet. You need to find out if FCP is specifying the wrong gear or if they simply made a mistake and sent you the incorrect gear.

The one FCP sent me is for a pre 85.5 I ended up getting it from odometergears.com after I went through there instructions.
