Question What's going on with my driver's side mirror?!

New to me 1988 944s - driver's side mirror seems to function a bit wonky. Press left, mirror turns right and vice versa, Up and down DO NOT function and I don't hear any noises when pressing,

Was going to pop the glass off to take a look at the motor. The motor sounds unhealthy compared to the passenger side.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the glass off, any idea what mirror this is?
My passenger side mirror I can clearly see the locking ring, but here I just see a rubber bellows. Photos & the only part number I can find below.

If this mirror was replaced with the old style, is it possible to disassemble and use the shell with newer innards?

Photos below, with the only part number I see.

Well, quick update!

If I had to guess, this is a passenger mirror off a 911, based on the part number

That said - I'd LOVE help understanding the jumper, and double brown/white wire that's on the plug coming from the car that doesn't seem to line up with the wiring diagram on clarksgarage - can I simply remove the jumper and install a used correct mirror? help!

Edit 3: Update 3: According to a 1990 944S wiring diagram I found, that jumper is on purpose, but the 5 & 6 pin are potentially reversed?
