Question Need help with radio antenna hookup

Last weekend somebody broke into my 944 and made off with my CD deck. That's a story in and of itself, but it's time to move on . . .

The thief seems to have left the car's wiring intact. I installed the stolen deck myself, so I am pretty wise in the ways of hooking things up. However, last year I had a shop install a FUBA antenna onto the roof. The lead coming from the antenna has two connections:

One is the obvious antenna connection, and I know where that goes.

The other is a thin black wire. I assume the black means that it goes to ground. Could it be anything else? If it is a ground, then what should I connect it to? Should I just splice it into the ground for the new deck?

Thanks for any advice.

Mark

The black wire is the power wire for the antena amplifier. If I recall correctly it attaches to the blue wirt. It should be hot when the radio is on.
