The pin is in the end of the steel tube that the cover is attached to.
Is the end plug plastic or wood?
With out looking at the car which side is the pin on?
I also just raided the spare parts buckets and have a few more items to scan and post.

Interestingly enough.....
I have a few spare rear hatch cargo cover units.....
One of them has a bigger metal housing and a metal end-caps (instead of the easily broken plastic caps)....
Anyone know when/what model Porsche supplied the metal-type rear hatch cargo cover?
