Well, the solenoid is stuck, I might be able to tap it and free it once it stops raining, this maladie occurred when I tried to start it up to get her into the machine shed. It's been pouring rain for days. However my thought is, if I did free it it might stick again and not in my yard. Someone told me it's a standard Bosch part, where is the best place to buy a new one? Very early 944 n/a. Only power electric thing is the windows.
BTW, I repaired the split in my windscreen washer tank, someone had tried a sort of rubbery glue previously, well I got out my Dremel tool with a 3/16th burr and ground out the crack. I then bored down through the channel I made into the tank every 1/4". Mixed up some Accraglas gel, a 2 part epoxy, flows like butter when mixed 1:1. Took a popsicle stick and smeared the epoxy into the channel and down into the holes, made sure enough got into the tank, mushroomed out of the holes, and set the tank on a hot water radiator for 2 days to let the epoxy cure. She don't leak now!
I should have photographed the procedure. Any gunsmith will recognise Brownell's Accraglas. A lot of us use it for bedding rifles into their stocks for accuracy.

Well, Steve, yes, the starter motor should come out and I have a very good alternator/starter rebuilder not too far away. You reminded me, he rebuilt a starter motor for me some years ago for a RX7 automatic.
I'll put the charger on the battery too. Seems like it's charged up, but with all that wet snow and rain, who knows.
It's like the whole problem started when I drove home through a wet snowstorm which was not on the weather forecast at all when I left home.

Low battery could cause the solenoid to act strange, but I know what you mean about getting stuck. Better to have it check out.
BTW, washer tank repair sounds good. Where do you find that epoxy?
