Default Uro parts

Doing a clutch. 270k miles, original clutch. Anticipating needing a new release lever fork pin. Anyone use the Uro Parts version? Significantly cheaper than the OE. Thanks!

I haven't used their clutch, but after having their heater valve split open after a few months I no longer trust them for critical parts. A clutch job is not something I'd skimp on....

I know! 😁 At swap meets I didn’t dare brag about how many miles I had on it for fear of jinxing myself 300+ miles away from home. I’m actually not having any real problems with it now. Just a little rattling noise. Just replacing it because of age.

I just bought their pin that passes through the throw-out bearing fork. Everything else is Genuine Porsche. Even have a Genuine rubber puck disc that I scored on eBay like 10 years ago for $100 dollars. Before you scold me on how they don’t last, it’s a 1986 with 270k. 😮

But what does time do to that rubber?

I don’t know. But if it will last another 37 years I’m good with it!

I would use junkyard parts before trusting URO. I tried their window switches, which are very simple parts, and they couldn't get those right! They worked intermittently. As soon as I replaced them with new OE, they were fine.

I agree. I've also sworn off Uro parts.

When I installed a part at the shop, I needed to guaranty it.
They were always a big question mark.... so the answer was always "No!"
As time has gone by, I have still never heard anything good about them.

My buddy purchased URO sway bar bushings for his 968. They were in a URO marked baggie and had the triangle P on them. That is the first and only good thing I know about them. counterfeit?
