Default CAT CAMS 8v N/A Any ideas what to expect?

Has anyone tried this? How would you describe what to expect?
I loved my first Jon Milledge cam and am looking for a mild bump. He seems to have shut his doors. What cam is best suited to street-sport?

I have the turbo cam in my 951, it realy opens up the higher rpm, pulling all out to 6800 rpm.

Default Cat cam

Would this cam be OK in an early 2.5 (83) NA engine?

I don't know if the CAT CAMS turbo cam works well for the early n/a. Some of the turbo cams do, but I don't assume they do. Cat makes a n/a cam as well as a turbo. LR makes different cams for "high comp" vs regular compression. Perhaps that is what inspired your question? One guys stated years ago that the AFM relies on vaccum to open it up and so Porsche restricted valve overlap on our car, which can be altered to some degree when changing to a newer MAP/MA. It's also been stated too much overlap isn't good for boosted car because exhaust gas reversion (the exhaust pressure goes backwards into the engine), which makes sense to me.

Default Turbo cam

I guess what you’ve stated here sheds more light on the subject. I liked the idea of higher rpm’s, provided they were still in the torque band. Sounds like a MAF instead of the AFM might be a workable solution. Not having any reference to CAT cams to examine, makes the guesswork a bit more complicated. I guess they can be googled, though. I also thought the 951 cam might be more available at a lower price.
