Default Coolant leak...

Alright, been having a fiasco with my cooling system, finally it started doing something obvious (ie leak).

It gets a good solid leak going on the passenger side of the engine bay, it seems to be in line with the oil drain plug and just near the tie rod area.

Im going to go jack it up and take a look. My first thought was the rad drain plug cracked while I was changing the coolant and its just dripping back along the skid pan thing and thats where it comes out, but its weird that it would drip in the same spot in 3 different driveways, all that are sloped differently etc.

Is there anything else cooling related in this area that could leak at a good rate, a fat drop every 2 seconds even. Ive aleady checked the bleed valve and that area is dry.

well, yes, the water pump could be leaking! Sometimes it's hard to tell because of the timing belt cover and the belly pan, loft her up and find the leak and then post.

Large file sorry. Its dripping at a good rate off that bolt head. It seems to be dribbling around from the side there, and dripping off the bolt.

Is this a sign of water pump problems?

It has now moved to dripping off that block shape in the second pic.

I thought it should be every other belt change, so a max of 90k miles? New belts alone costed me $700USD at the place where I bought the car... Damn a full job woulda be $2k I think.

Let me tell you this--CHANGE THE PUMP! Do a search on bad waterpumps and you'll happily get it done. Why not do it yourself? I did it for the first time not too long ago and it wasn't that bad. I did by myself and at one point thought I was crazy and I'd never finish, but now I could I think do it in four or five hours.
Although I believe the factory says 45k for belts, the accepted number of miles by most here is 30k.
