Where exactly is the back shelf? am i missing two speakers since nothing is sticking out.

i have option 490 Hi-fi system and option code 494 speakers on back shelf.

where are they supposed to be?

Tom, you sure you don't have the option codes for a 911? some numbers are used for both models but represent different options, I assume this holds true for the 928 etc. also.

Mine is laid out this way:
3 speakers in each door and 2 speakers under each rear quarter window.

I have never seen a rear shelf speaker in any 944.

maybe i am reading the wrong option codes. interior looks like what Pete described.

I didnt think there was a rear shelf. guess one option code is for the speakers, the other for the equalizer.
