Free snow tires (Boston)
I'm moving to sunny California where snowtires are basically useless -- so if anyone in the Boston area wants them, they are up for grabs -- for free!
They are a set of 4 Blizzak WS-15 (the older model, probably 5 years old) with fairly decent tread (~8/32nd all around, but maybe down to 4/32nd on the front inside). Better than no snow tires, but not great tires. I would use them for another season, but it hasn't snowed heavily in Los Angeles since the Ice Ages.
There are some catches:
* must be a rennlist member.
* must come pick them up (I'm in the Back Bay area of Boston) -- and come snag them by this Sunday (that's when the movers come and will grab/ship everything to Cali)
* they are currently mounted on 4 sorry-looking 15in late-offset PDs that I wouldn't mind keeping: so you have to go get them dismounted for me (should only be like $5/ea) OR buy these sorry-looking PDs from me at $20 a piece -- still a good price, no? They all need refinishing and a couple of them could use some filling if you're a perfectionist.
