There was a thread about spark plug wires on friday I believe, whoever was quoted as the supplier for the parts quoted me $159 for a set of wires. I have the email at home but I'm not there, I'm in a hotel on my laptop so I dunno.
I really like the MSD wires though, not to mention any of the aftermarket coils with at least 25% more juice.
Then again I would install an MSD 6A box before I spent money on a chip.

The $159.00 figure must be a COMPLETE set of wires WITH all the beru ends on them. Thats what your paying for when you buy these OEM type wires. I see no reason to not reuse perfectly good connectors, especially at what they cost.
That MSD setup looks like a good way to go also!
Heres the thread I started last week regarding plug wires, if anyones interested.
Crimping the Beru spark plug wire end sleeves

The only flaw with reusing the ends is that it's hard to get a sufficient electrical connection that will stand the test of time. Considering what some of us pay to add a couple hp to our cars, it seems silly to me to be willing to give up a couple hp just to save $50 on ignition wires. Spring for the new Beru ends, and keep that hard earned power!

If they fit the cap and plugs, you're all set. You probably won't even notice the loss of a pony or two. Just seems a shame to give up a couple HP just to save a couple $.

You won't lose a shred of power with Magnecores, I run them over all other alternatives not because of price, but because they've made the most power in every single comparison I've done myself or watched others do. As I said above, they're the fastest wire I've found.

I've yet to see a single comparison between new wires with Beru ends and wires without the ends that showed ANY increase. The last time I asked for someone to back up a claim like this I got a comparison of a new aftermarket wire VS a stock wire of unknown age (the one that was being replaced, probably for a reason). I'd still love to see something to substantiate the claim that an engine with an uneven spark is able to make more power than an engine with maximum spark on all cylinders.

Well, $50 for Magnecor wires seems a lot better than $140. From Magnecor's web site they seem to be high quality and they say it won't hurt my stock ignition components. Is there a downside to this approach?

IDK if this was mentioned but:.........why can't you guys mix and match the ends
OH..and put the factory covers over the end (at the spark plug)...too keep out dust
edit: i see it's been mentioned
