Thanks all! We thought about Stout, we actually started the beer theme with Guinness (too commercial, I make my own) then Stout (too similar to Scout, a friend's dog from way back), Porter came along next! Doppelbock and Dunkelweizen didn't fly (my preferred dark beers). The good news is that Maria's warming up to the idea of sticking with Renn!

I wouldn't do that to an animal!! Besides, he doesn't need to be fixed anymore! Maria has slipped ~3 times so far and called him Renn, she's hooked!

Well he's home, but he still doesn't have a name, it's down to Renn or Porter.

Dave,

Thats a great looking dog! I am glad to see you got another dog.
I wish you the best with him, He reminds me of my old dog Zack, who was the best dog I ever had.

Don't give Marc any ideas there Tom, you and your briefcase could end up in this shot pretty quick. The bad news is that the kid joined forces with mom, his name is Porter.

Dave , take a good look at Joey's face in that pic , if you ever saw contentment in your sons expressions you will see it loud and clear there. SAYS it all , thats not a dog thats his new playmate , someone he can go to when he has his bad hair days. All ?? will want is a little food ,someone to play with and a walk once in awhile , a scratch behind the ear. For that he never asks for money , gives his love and loyalty to his family freely and never sasses back. We call them animals , but are they not closer then that ? And I can say bup has helped me thru many a hard day. Bup brother was nasty , but you know him , so do not let his sisters problem deter you from getting Renn ??? . Let Joey pick his name Dave , cause thats who he is going to be protective of and follow around as they grow up together.

Beautiful dog Dave and a very happy ending.

So, is he sleeping on your son's bed yet?

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.
