Exclamation Caster alignment HELP!

I am in the process of putting the steel A-arms back on the 83' and I cannot get the rear bolt holes to line up for the A-arm to the body. I painted around the original alignment so I could duplicate it again upon installation, but I am no where close! I installed new ball joints, front Delrin bushings and rear Weltmeister (red) bushings. I am only working on the Drivers side arm currently so I have not tried the passenger side yet. Is there a caster eccentric or something. I am not seeing anything. These arms have been off before by one of the PO's to weld in re-enforcements strips.

Any tips?
TIA!!

This is going to sound stupid maybe, but I found it was easier to line up the caster blocks first and THEN wrestle the front of the control arm up into the cross member. Rubber or plastic mallet might help.

You might also try just barely snugging down the bolts on the caster block, but not so much that you can't wack the thing into place with a plastic faced mallet.

Hi Michael, I just loosened up the crossmember bushing bolt and the ball joint bolt and it helps a bit, but I still cannot get the rear to line up. If I torque the A-arm with my strength I think I can get the bolts to line up.

I just did the passanger side in 25 minutes...everything went together beautifully!! Everything lined up great, and the A-arm is all torqued into place. I just need the Drivers side to do the same for me!

Any other comments?
I will try again tomorrow, but I feel it is going to need constant pressure to line the rear pin up. Currently, I am off ~ 0.5"
