Default Project 89-944 2.7

Hey Y'all
I'm at it again. Sold my last 944 almost 7 years ago I j bought 2 944s sight unseen 2 years ago. Saw them yesterday and picked up one. It's an automatic and has been off the road for about 5 years. The PO got it running but said it quit and he quit it too. So I dragged it home yesterday after hammer the brakes to free them up.
To do list is the usual engine stuff:
TBelt water pump, belts and bearings, reference sensors and tuneup.
Either rebuild or replace the brake calipers, used from rotors and turn the rears if possible.
Wrap the dash and reupholster the seats.
Respray the hood and roof.
Want to do a manual conversion but shipping to me is expensive. Or leave it automatic but swap the rubber damper for a clutch. If I do that the transmission must come out anyway. So Can anyone traveling to Tokyo bring a manual conversion kit with them for me? I'll cook a wonderful dinner.

Don't know why I can't upload pics.

Finally got the brakes apart cleaned and painted. Waiting for the overhaul kit.
Engine runs very smoothly but the AT damper is a bit noisy. I'll have to drop the tranny so I might as well do a manual conversion. Ill sand and prime the roof and hood next week and pull the dash for recovering.

Looks like that may have been a Celebration edition with the interior. Should check with werk924.com to source new cloth.

I think you are both right. It's only the drivers seat and top of the rear seat.

Nope. That fabric was for 911's. If you have the interior code from the build sticker, post that.

Checked the tbelt. It was loose and not putting sufficient tension on the water pump. I could turn it by hand. That explains why the PO said it was running hot and couldn't bleed the coolant.

The seat appears to be badly faded Madras Karo blue. Either new fabric or vinyl either way I'll have to do all the seats or try to dye the remaining seat blue. Any suggestions?
