Brian,

I am going to probably get the 1991 C2 Targa that Victory has. Black w cashmere interior, wing & spoiler, records, recent service and supposedly a portion of the Porsche Extended Warranty. The address is 6108 S. Rice. TIA.

Default Hangin out in H-town!

Hey guys,
Interview went great! Thanks for all the well-wishes. By the way things went I think I'd be a good match for the position, but who knows what they're thinking. Hopefully I'll hear something soon. The position is a low-level project management one where I'd be groomed to take over for the person I'd be directly reporting to. Job sounds very cool, I'd have a lot of interface within USA and with Boeing and NASA. I'd still have some technical related duties, but won't be sitting at the computer doing the same thing everyday. It's definitely the type of assignment I'm looking for.

Well, I'm currently down in Clear Lake at a friends apartment. Will probably take the rental back to the airport soon, unless a get together is planned. I heard from Brian (Red1), and he's busy at work until 10pm. My cell is 407-760-0452 if anybody wants to say hi. If nothing happens tonight, I'm free tomorrow, too.

Clear Lake is pretty far for me tonight, but i'm game to make and appearance at a shindig anytime tomorrow.

Hey Brian - congrats on the interview. I'd like to meet up with you, but it looks like it will have to be after you get the job!
Katy is on the FAR west side of Houston (I think we're actually a suburb of both San Antonio and Houston) and it would likely take me an hour and a half to get to Clear Lake.
Keep us posted if you get the job. If you do, dinner and a brew are on the Greaseslingers when you move down.

Brian, congrats. I'd love to come down and meet you, but with tomorrow the only Saturday off in MONTHS, I'm thinking taking the kids to do something fun. Get em out of mom's hair for the day. When you move down, we'll all have to get together at KartZone or something. Get me a range of dates for everyone and I'll put it together

I'm going to Kartzone tomorrow (sat nite). I live at Bltwy 8 and I-10 (Memorial City) area. Momentum has a nice 97 silver 993 cab. REI on I-10 moved to Westheimer and Voss.

It's 11:45 PM, and I just got in from the docks. I had a ship leaving earlier than planned, so my schedule got flipped and it cost me a couple of hours. Typical.

I'll be in the office in the morning, but I'll call Brian to see if there's a chance we can hook up for lunch.

I work too much sometimes...

James and I met last night. He was kind enough to pick me up from the airport last night after I dropped off the rental and drive me back to my friends apartment in Clear Lake. Very nice guy...bought me a drink at Starbucks and even let me drive his 944 around a little!

Thanks for the welcome to Houston, James!

I also appreciate the greetings from you other locals. We may not meet today but I definitely look forward to meeting you guys later if I get the job.

Yeah - and James is the mean one of the bunch!

Just kidding of course. Hopefully you'll get the job and we can make you an honorary Texan as well as a Greaseslinger!

Ha ha -- I'll definitely take you up on the Greaseslinger membership. However, I was born in Texas so I'm already a native...a displaced native, but a native nonetheless.

Brian (Red1) treated me to dinner at Outriggers...you're the man, Brian! Thanks for the hospitality! Dang, I wish we had good seafood like that in Orlando. I had a very good trip to Houston, enjoyed meeting a few Rennlisters. I really hope I get the job now, because I'm leaning heavily toward relocating out there if I do. Yeah, that means leaving the girlfriend and her new house behind but I'd rather do that than be unemployed.

And with the severance from the looming layoff, I'll have to choose between a turbo or a house downpayment. Of course now is the hard part...waiting for that phone call or email.
