Default another snub nose mod question

ok I pulled the bumper, drilled the shocks, now how the h*ll do you get them compressed. I have tryed many different ways and they will not budge. I'm thinking of creeping my car up to a wall and applying pressure.

thanks Greg

Did all the fluid come out?
If not, you may have drilled in the wrong spot.

yes fluid did come out. I tried compressing, beeting down with a mallet, putting on the ground and damn near jumping on them, put back on the car and tried to push bumper in with it mounted. I even tried using a C clamp to compress with no luck.

thanks Greg

PS- if they are compressed off the car, do you have to remove the chin spoiler to get the mounting bolts back in?

They may be rusted in place. FWIW, I just leaned against mine until it was as deep as I wanted. Maybe some WD-40 or PBlaster will loosen it up.

i used a hammer and compressed them. i didn't drill, nor did i find drilling on them to be very effective. they are still compressed after 6 months. i also didnt have to take the spoiler off to reinstall, however its not fun to get 'em in at that point.
