I disassembled my dash to replace my odometer gear, and as I was trying to remove the speedometer needle, I snapped it off. I talked to a few odometer shops who all wanted ~$500 to fix it, which is way too much considering I can buy an entire cluster w/ faded plastic for $140ish. Before I buy the entire cluster though, I wanted to see if anyone had an individual speedometer they were interested in selling. I only need the motor part with the needle, I have everything else. But I will also take the entire unit, with or without a working odometer. Also, if you have an entire instrument cluster and can beat $140, please do let me know!

I have an extra speedometer, but its a newer dash/late model (85.5+) from an 89 S2 - I think the speedos are all the same for all the 944 late models. PM sent

I'm in the same boat with my 1986 Turbo Tach - removed the needles to replace the capacitors and snapped the tach pin putting it back together.
Anyone have a working Turbo Tach (with working boost gauge) that they want to part with?
I see full clusters on eBay, but sketchy return policies....

I did find a used tach on eBay uk from a seller called Luxury Car Spares. They had a pretty good selection, reasonable pricing and shipped to the us.way cheaper than fixing my broken one.

Did this actually turn up, have ordered a cluster on their web page, but crickets ever since I placed my order and they are only 85 miles from me..

Yes it did arrive and worked great - it did take a while and responses to requests for tracking were a bit spotty.

Thanks, I was getting jittery as they had not responded.

I finally managed to get a response out of them yesterday, the cluster is on it's way. They could be a great business if they were more customer focused.
