Default 924S gauge

So the warning lights with temp and fuel level gauge, if I get under the dash I should be able to push it out, is anything else holding it in?
need some light bulbs changed.

I don't think you could do it that way. It's really tight back there. It's also just too easy to pull the whole cluster. Replace ALL the bulbs at once, and clean all contacts. Does your odometer work? If not, then would be a good opportunity to fix that as well.

I had the pod out last year for the speedo and calibration to my tires and wheels, I thought my fuel gage issue was with the sending unit, but have put in a new one and checking the original it looks fine. So I am going to send the gauge for a complete overhaul, was going to use a used one for the time being.

And is the rubber mounting band available that holds it in the console available?

I hope I understand the question correctly so I will say 'yes': the speedometer cable will limit the range that you can pull the pod forward to almost nothing. While I haven't had to do this in quite some time, reach up and you'll be able to unscrew the cable from the male connector on the gauge.

One of my 924s' used the rubber bands to ensure a friction fit. The car I am currently working on used vinyl electrical tape to do the same thing.

Obviously electrical tape isn't factory. I would think 1/2" wide foam rubber would work well.
