Default Broken waterpump bolt on BMW

I was just reinstalling the waterpump on my '90 E34 535i M30. I was torquing everything down to 22NM (16ftlbs) as stated in the Bentley manual. I was at about 18NM when the bolt broke off in the motor.

What type of bolt extractor, Brand, size, name, ect... should I use to get it out?

I posted this on a BMW forum too, maybe you guys have some ideas.

Any other help would be appreciated
Tia,
Eric

Can you just remove the other bolts, take off the water pump, and grab the bolt with pliers?

that's not very tight so if there wasn't any of it sticking up I would try a left handed drill bit first.

then an easy out

should be a pretty easy one to remove so long as you can get a straight shot at the bolt.

I had a bolt on my 944 waterpump break. Used lots of liquid wrench, then drilled it out and extracted it with an easy out.

I broke a screw in the back of my car that held in the old licence plate. I ended up just drilling it out. The screw would not turn plus the end of the screw was soft, so that didn't help. But yea, just make sure you don't over size on it.
