Thanks for all the input guys. It was much worse in the rain. I drove it up to Road America today (cool but sunny) and the idle problem occurred with much less frequency and not as severely, though it was still there.
I think I'll try misting the wires and, if I see a light show, pony up the big dollars for a new set. Everything else is new except the coil. I'm not even sure where that lives? The good new is with my limited mechanical abilities, changing the wires is within my range. Not sure about the coil. Thanks again,
