87 924S questions
I just bought a 1987 924S with 120,000 miles on it. The engine had a top end rebuild at 100K because of a Tbelt failure & the clutch was replaced 2k miles before that. ($6000 total on the bill!!!)
My original plan was to part out the car and save the engine/trans for a future project car but this car runs and drives great. I don't want to kill it. The car has body damage but I think it will be easier to fix the body damage then transfer the engine or trans into another car.
Is it possible to use 944 front fenders and rear quarter panels on a 87 924S? Has anyone here tried this?

944 fenders bolt directly on. Then you could get the rear quarter panel extensions from GT racing and have a 924 carrera GT replica. At that point, you would also be able to use early offset wheels, because your car currently uses late offset wheels.
The Fuchs on a carrera replica look good, to say the least.
If you have hood damage, you can use a 924 turbo hood, with naca duct (I bought an oem for $100) and a 924 turbo nose panel, with the 4 air intakes ($150 will get you one of those)
It gets dangerous to the wallet quickly.

The problem is the drivers rear quarter panel has a dent in the rear. If I buy a non running 944 parts car (don't change your tbelts guys I can use the body and part out the rest. The front spoiler is banged up so I would probably buy the 924 Carrera spoiler from GT racing.
It does add up fast but if I play the waiting game on a parts car it will not be that bad.
I just want to make sure that the 944 rear quarter panels will fit first.
